I’m a strong blend of all 3, but lacking in the short-term. I really like being thrown in the action on the fly but need a flexible schedule. 1Hr blocks would add a lot of stress. If many people are in the short term column it relieves me to know I have a larger pool to recruit from. Thank you for all your lessons and leadership.

“Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”
― Mark Twain
I LIVE BY THAT!! <3
So true
As a lifetime outsider, a “lone wolf”, I still knew what the majority believed, but I didn’t form my beliefs based on popularity. I needed to evaluate for myself, question, apply logic and experience. As I gathered info I constantly heard: “That’s the way it’s done, always has been that way.” I am not impressed by that “non-answer” that so many accept as valid. I made my living by doing the unexpected, not doing it “like it should be done”, after careful thought, a penetrating analysis.
@Don Duncan , I agree with you
When you see the chalk board you know you’re about to get a little bit smarter than your peers.
Saw you on alux. Com.. Your here to… You really want to learn badly… Im inspired by your forcus
Just found this video, best channel in my subs. Patrick this video made me found out I’m a all three non emotional strategist.
Swear I have my own notebook found whatever I learn on this channel lol
Best vids have the chalkboard hahahahah
Word!
Are you that 1 in 20? Be the strategic thinker. 💯
Yes, slow down Elmo
No. That isn’t always the best goal.
Having strategic thinking is one thing,but the follow through is super important.
Agreed, strongly; executIon is ALL
Hey, how are you? My name is Ariel Downer. You and I don’t know each other but I came across your account from a valuetainment video. The reason why I am reaching out to you is because i work for a financial firm that is rapidly expanding and we’re looking for ambitious and business minded people. I wanted to know if you keep your business options open?
*There are no such thing as “problems” to the entrepreneur, only opportunities* 👍👍👍
You must be dreamin’, bro!
@mihaela preda hahaha i like that
Losing money is a problem
@Turing Test Or, maybe all these “I wanna help you get rich because that’s how awesome I am” guys are just con artists trying to monetize people who really think they’ll learn the secret on youtube.
@GGR TheMostGodless Regurgitating some BS you heard somewhere and never gave a second thought. As people do on the internet. At least have the decency to not pretend you’re some kind of wise man. Cancer is a problem and not an opportunity. I could give you examples all day.
The art of war. If you dont know what your opponent is thinking, you will lose for every time you win❤
Patrick this is your best yet
This reminded me of Sun Tzu Art of War
@Re3iRtH but I don’t know Chinese💔😭😭😭
@Bomb Clan dramatic much
Top 3 favorite book
This is something that is unavoidable in chess if you want to get literally anywhere, you have to constantly analyze your opponents desires, perspective, and strategy. This is the only way to make your own strategy that’s any good, and that back and forth is what high level chess is
Honored PBD! Thank you for the mention 🙏 you always have something for us to think about, a challenge to conquer and a mountain to climb. To get to where we want to go, to live the life we signed up for will require the constant next best version of ourselves.
Crazy to think that through your guidance we’ve earned through the platform you’ve created (waaaaay different than anything in the industry – system n culture) over $900k since the Pandemic Lockdown began.
We owe it to you, our mentor, to execute on your coaching and accomplish what you’ve done sooner, faster and bigger.
Here’s to the very BEST that is yet to come!!!
Probably one of your best videos Patrick. Thank you. I was trained as an engineer and I’d say they train you to solve problems (short term strategist), also, being too much in the trenches has made me continue to get great at short term strategy.. but that won’t get us far. We’ve been doing our best to be intentional to step away and come up with a more long term strategy for our restaurants.. Thanks so much for your videos 🙏
Such a good video. My personal take away from it.
Short term you’re solving a problem.
Midterm you’re preventing the problem.
Long-term you are positioning yourself and countering the drivers to the big picture problem.
Wish I had this lecture many years ago… So well built, theory & practice cases together – I would have avoided lots of mistakes. Congratulations, Patrick! Keep up the good work!
From what I’ve just learned in the first 5 minutes, I believe I am all 3 because I implement them all regularly for myself and others. Very interesting. Thank you for this perspective.
EDIT: By 14:02, I am even more intrigued because this all resonates with what I do, even the debriefing part. I’m a systematic debriefer haha. Successes or failures, debrief! 🙂
I really love how this was explained! Thank you, and if the book is anything like the video explanation I’m about to buy the book as well!!
Problems are solutions still yet to be found. In mma, strategy is key when it comes to fighting. Just because youre bigger and faster does not mean anything without strategy.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE!
Excellent video Patrick, thank you! You are a great coach and motivator. I love how you always try to take the ego out of the equation. This country needs someone like you, as our President.
Patrick for President!!
can see it’s an emotional topic with real examples. will rewatch it few times, lot of gold advices in this video. thanks pat and your team
This is classic, old school Patrick – entrepreneurship and leadership lessons from someone who has diligently studied it and applied it and continuously optimised it. Thank you, Sir, for your lessons and mentorship.
“Your legacy is every life you have ever touched” Maya Angelou
Thank you for a great video and may God grant you many years of long life so that you may continue to impart you wisdom on the world.
Pat I don’t care if you don’t see this, but I’m a 21 year old Armenian kid in LA who’s been following you for a while, and I teared up during this video because you put all my thoughts together and presented it to me in a practical structured way, at the perfect time. God is great. Bless you and thank you so much.
Extremely relevant. Hands down one of the best presentations ever produced by PBD
